My Dream, My Future

Everyone has dreams. Whether they want to become a doctor to heal everyone else, a scientist to discover new things or maybe a basketball player and become a hall of famer. I have dreams just like everyone else.I want to have a good life,possessing luxury cars, and tons of money and I will do whatever it takes to achieve it. 

Currently I am a student in high school, Grade 10 student to be specific and I belong to the section Martinelli. I may not be an intelligent child nor something gifted. But I'm doing my best in order to make my grades high because I believe that I can. My parents has a high expectation on me since they make it to the top even if life was not fair during their time as a student.

 If you ask me something related to my future,I dreamed to become an engineer.I plan to become one as fast as a I could cause I want to pay the sacrifices of my parents. The time, money and care they spent to educate their child. That is something to be paid off.

As you can see I have big plans for the future. I have a great fear on failure,and I wont let it get to me.I'll never give up even if the world is against me. My dreams are the ones that keeps me going. I'll make it to the stars through hardships.

FOUNDATION DAY: Humble Beginnings

Every year,school and universities celebrate their foundation days

to commemorate the day when the school was established.They say that School Foundation Day is a very much awaited event by far and this is usually done in order to accommodate various activities such as field demonstration,speeches of school authorities,enumerating school accomplishments,goals and plans for the upcoming years. It is indeed crucial since student now a days don't appreciate their schools founder and history.

March 2,2019, the date in which Ilocos Sur National School-My Alma mater celebrate its 117th Foundation Day.It was successfully held and this years celebration is indeed fun and interesting. I considered it as the grandest since I find it more beautiful than the past years celebrations.There are a lot of memories made with my classmates especially when we are ask to practice our field demonstration. It was indeed tiring but it was worth it.

We may not won the crown in performing our field demonstration-which is considered as the highlighted activity.But we won the heart of our teachers and dance instructors.

Furthermore,commemorating the Foundation Day is significant since it is the chance to remind the students about the humble beginnings of their educational institution.

Kannawidan: culture preservation

Unlike any other destination that are made by their landmarks and tourist spots amazing. Ilocos Sur is in itself the word "attraction".Our very own province that is full of remarkable cultures and traditions that we Bigueños are very proud of.And it's known to be culturally enriched place with endearing and worth knowing historical significance and astonishing Places just like the calle crisologo,Bantay Bell Tower and Etc.

But we cannot showcase this without the help of festivals to exhibit and promote more of renowned products and cultures.Although we all know that festivals do play a pivotal role in promoting one's own beliefs. One of these is the Kannawidan Ylocos Festival-most appreciated festival of all!.

 The course of events of this festival is the commemoration of the foundation day of the province.

A Festival which lasts from the last week of January up to the first week of February.And Yes it is an annual celebration that aims to create awareness and preservation of our cultural heritage.A week-long festive of happiness and it is a great trend to old ones and fresh youths like us. Making us to feel the goodness of satisfaction without doubt.

I believe this kind of festival gives importance to every Bigueños. It is a way in order for us to know and value the things we have. To preserved our cultures for the next generations.

We all talk about the word "change" on how we needed it,on how we embrace it and theorized,knowing change is so good for us all.But Depends on how people see it for themselves whether it is bad nor good.

 I have been realizing bit lately that millions of humanity are eager to change the world but no one thinks of changing himself first just like Leo Tolstoy stated.

Yes the world is already changing rapidly.It's not the same as we knew it before.Making me feel sad thinking how the world ends right before us.Deforestation,Oil spill and dynamite fishing these are some of the painful words I want to stop.But before that,We humans must face self-change.Yes,I don't think it's possible to change the world.There is a difference between changing the world, and making a difference in the world,which is important to recognize because I believe we can do it. This sound heroic but it is very important because there is nothing more constant in this world except "change".

But I guess change happens whether we like it or not.Starting from simple matter into complex one.Change for the better! for the sake of our beloved planet.

NEW YEAR: NEW ME

It's New year again and I cant stop thinking about my New years resolution. Because every  single time if New year comes,I failed to achieve my goals and it so very disappointing and sad.Example like- knowing the true value of humility, Time management, Boosting morals and especially self-confidence.

 You can call me a failure,anything, everything you wanted to say. But I promise to myself I wont stop until I succeed them all. I promise that this damn 2019 differs from the past years.Because everyone say that if New Year approaches, there will be a better opportunity to brace. And I guess that is true and I cant afford it to go to waste.

Yes,Often people make new years resolution, which are goals they would like to achieve or changes they would like to make to their lives in the New year. And Me?, So far so Good. I think 2019 is way better than before. Less pain,less regrets, and slowly reminiscing the broken promises I made.There may be painful times but not too much.Happy times but not so great.

Specific Goal in this Year? Good,Better,Best I wont stop until my good is better and my better is best.

Equity

Across the world there has been an imbalance between the roles of men and women in society. If we look back in the early civilization, women in particular had a difficult time being treated with the same admiration and entitlement as men. Only mean had the power to rule within a government and society, while women have been seen only as housewives. And this can be seen through many literary works of great authors such as history books.

But in our society today, the abuse against gender roles and gender equality became less an issue through the dedication of mistreated people to fight for their own rights as a fellow human beings. And because of it, there was a great impact affecting our modernized. Peace achieved and conflicts was avoided.But I guess, I can't really say that the rights if each human being is already equal nor uniform. Discrimination may still occur despite awful personalities still arise. And the impact of it can be severe. Opportunities may be wasted because of it. 

To sum up, we can say that gender roles  is a recurring issue but we can avoid this once again if we take an action immediately.
